How it all started
It all started with a young woman named Annet, whose heart overflowed with compassion for the most vulnerable members of society – orphaned children. Having grown up with orphans, Annet understood the longing for love and stability that haunted many of these children’s lives.
Determined to turn her vision into reality, Annet embarked on a journey of hope and resilience. She rallied support from friends, family, and kind-hearted individuals who shared her passion for making a difference. Together, they rolled up their sleeves and began the arduous task of transforming the abandoned building into a haven of warmth and love.
With unwavering dedication and countless hours of hard work, the building was reborn as “Touchinghearts” – a home for orphaned and vulnerable children seeking refuge from life’s storms. The once-empty rooms now echoed with laughter and joy, as children filled its corridors with newfound hope and optimism.
As word of Touchinghearts spread, the community rallied behind Annet’s cause, offering donations, volunteering their time, and lending their support in any way they could. What started as a single ray of hope had blossomed into a beacon of light, illuminating the lives of countless children and families in need.
Years passed, and Touchinghearts continued to thrive under Annet’s compassionate leadership. Children who once felt lost and alone found solace and belonging within its walls, receiving the love, care, and guidance they needed to flourish.
And so, amidst the challenges and uncertainties of life, Annet’s vision endured – a testament to the transformative power of love, compassion, and the unwavering belief that every child deserves a chance to shine bright, no matter how dark the night may seem.
Our story
Every great journey begins with a story. Ours is no different. Established in 2023 in Kakiri and Bugerere, Uganda, we embarked on a mission to help orphans. What started as a humble beginning and we now help a few children, thanks to the hard work, dedication, and unwavering support of our team and community.

We envision a world where every orphaned or vulnerable child receives the care, education, and opportunities they need to thrive and become productive members of society.
Our orphanage strives to provide a safe and stable home for children who have experienced trauma or loss, offering them a sense of belonging and security. We believe in fostering a family-like atmosphere where children receive individualized attention, emotional support, and guidance to heal from past experiences and build a brighter future.
We envision an orphanage that not only meets the basic needs of food, shelter, and clothing but also prioritizes holistic development. Through quality education, life skills training, and recreational activities, we aim to equip children with the tools they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
At Touchinghearts, we envision partnerships with local communities, government agencies, and organizations to create a network of support for our children. We believe in promoting awareness and advocacy for the rights and well-being of orphaned and vulnerable children, working towards a society that values and protects every child’s right to a loving and nurturing environment.
Ultimately, our vision is to empower the children of Touchnghearts to break the cycle of poverty and adversity, inspiring them to become compassionate leaders and change-makers in their communities and beyond.
